I love to play with makeup and perfume and nail polish just as much (ok, a little more) than the average gal. No one needs any of these things to survive, of course, but boy do they make life more fun! And not for nothing, but the right lipstick or perfume sure does make you feel a little taller, smarter, stronger, prettier. BIOEFFECT was founded in 2010 by three Icelandic scientists who collaborated to innovate using plant-biotechnology to produce a replica of human growth factors in barley. Translation, they figured out how to use plant cells to replicate human growth factors. Say what? Growth factors are naturally occurring signaling proteins in our body that play a vital role in supporting the skin’s natural ability to repair. Start your routine with the Volcanic Exfoliator. You’ve got to exfoliate regularly to get rid of dead skin, product build up and general environmental toxins. This clarifying facial exfoliator contains Icelandic micro-crystalline lava and ground apricot seeds to deeply cleanse, refine and nourish the skin. This is not your teenage exfoliator. It’s the most luxurious scrub that’s safe for regular use (meaning twice weekly to daily depending on how sensitive your skin is). It will leave your skin radiant.
Follow that with the Micellar Cleansing Water, which is one of the first products I fell in love with. I adore a micellar water and use only that to clean my face each morning, and this is hands down the best one I have ever used. It’s a gentle, no-rinse cleanser water that effectively removes oil, makeup, and impurities without drying out your skin. Now, I’d recommend a heavier cleaner if you’re washing away a full face of glam followed by this, but this is all you need if your skin has a moderate amount of product on it or none at all. It’s formulated with pure Icelandic Water and hydrating plant-based humectants to leave your skin clean and hydrated.

Next up, please be generous with your serum. Actually, please start using a serum if you are 40 years old or better and you’re not already using one.
