Thrive Causemetics Liquid Brow Lamination Lifting Brow Gel + Brilliant Eye Brightener
by Dory Zayas
I’ve always been obsessed with brows. I love looking at pictures of my mom’s full, dark eyebrows as she was growing up. They were bushy in a good way, and always reminded me of Brooke Shields. Of course, I did fall prey to the skinny eyebrow trend in the late ‘90s and early aughts, but in 2025, I’m proudly rocking big brows that I honestly rarely pluck and definitely never wax.
I’ve been a beauty editor for over 15 years and, by this point, I’ve seen one too many people regret microblading their eyebrows, even when they thought they were following the trend. Microblading involves tiny cuts into the skin where semi-permanent pigment is applied. It’s basically like an eyebrow tattoo that can last up to three years, but in some people, it can last much longer, or leave permanent scars or bruises.
A less invasive treatment is brow lamination, which can last between one to two months and is generally much easier to tolerate from a pain standpoint, as well as less of a commitment.
It’s still a procedure that might not be right for you if you have super sensitive skin or like to change up your look often. Instead, I’d recommend trying the new Thrive Causemetics Liquid Brow Lamination Lifting Brow Gel. It will give you the look of brow lamination without the commitment or any possible side effects.
The clear gel works by setting brows into place, giving them a gorgeous shape that lasts all day. The unique brush allows you to use one side of shorter bristles to first separate and comb through your brows. The other side has longer bristles to lift and shape your brow hairs. A flat side can provide further hold by pressing the brows down to set the look.
It lasts up to 24 hours, but feels lightweight and looks invisible. It doesn’t flake or shed, and ingredients like avocado oil and vitamin B5 help brows get stronger and longer over time. It conditions hairs so you can feel and look your best whether you’re wearing makeup or not.
Thrive Causemetics has a cult following (even Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, uses their Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara) and for good reason. The products really deliver, plus, they are constantly giving back. For over 10 years, the brand and their Bigger Than Beauty skincare counterpart has given back a portion of their profits to help domestic violence survivors, veterans, people battling cancer, the LGBTQ+ community, under-resourced youth, and more. They have contributed funds and products to over 600 nonprofits since they launched the brand just over a decade ago.
We love their give-back mission, and most importantly, their products really work and deliver on their promises.
Along with this new brow gel, which just launched in February of 2025, I love wearing their Brilliant Eye Brightener. A hero product for the brand, this multi-tasking stick comes in over 30 shades—some matte, some shimmer, and some limited edition. A feature I love is that on the website, when you select a shade, it tells you this shade “is loved by shoppers with green eyes.” The shade Stella is a champagne shimmer shade loved by shoppers of ALL eye colors. Stella happens to be my daughter’s name, but I’m not just partial to it because of that. I also love it because it’s versatile, flattering on everyone, and a truly perfect everyday go-to color.
It’s waterproof and non-irritating, and has macadamia + meadowfoam seed oil to hydrate even the driest eyelids. You can use this on the eyelid as well as the inner corner of the eye to deliver a brightening, wide-awake effect. Something this mama needs every morning, if I’m being honest.
It’s smooth and creamy, and applies so fast and easy. It’s like a dream. It’s waterproof and tested by derms and ophthalmologists to make sure it won’t irritate your eyes or skin. It’s safe for contact lens wearers and can blend with other shades for a custom look. You can also use this stick as a highlighter on the bridge of your nose, under your brow bone, or on your cupid’s bow to give you an extra boost of shimmer and shine.
Both of these products will not only help you look your best but you can feel good about the “bigger than beauty” mission of the company. Looking good and feeling good—is there anything better than that?
